I purchased the shaggy angora goat on the wood mount for a gift for my neice. Loved how the wood grain comes through on the print. Excellent purchase! Would definitely purchase again.

This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Map of an Alien World is an abstract watercolor. I see land masses and oceans in an alien world. The ocean is dark and the land masses are colorful with mountain ranges and rivers.
Is this a map of an alien world? Is it a map of under the sea with colorful coral formations.
What do you see? A fellow artist sees a fantastical bird-woman floating amidst ideas.

Captured his masked face
What goes on out there

About L A Feldstein
My fascination with patterns stems from my love of numbers. While mathematics has been integral in my working career in finance, my other love is painting. My subject matter is inspired by photographs taken by friends and family. I see a photograph in terms of color, line and geometry. These qualities appeal to my sense of order and design (my fascination with numbers translated into art). There are times when a single photograph and the resulting abstract painting leads to another path -- and another painting -- and sometimes a third or fourth version from the same photo. When I draw something, I start with the shapes and then I add the color. After that, and as I move along, I look for balance of shapes and balance of color and...

Liz, I see a center blondefemale-bird-woman with feathered wings outstretched and tail feathers upright to balance as she flies between colourful ideas against an elegant “en noire” backdrop of infinite possibility. Were she brunette and were there a few stars scattered around, I would think you painted Laurelland…lol!…thanks for sharing in the BUZzz! FAV
L A Feldstein replied:
Laurel, I absolutely love your interpretation. I will add it to my description. So fanciful and imaginative. Thank you

Thank you, Paul. Yes, one of those ancient maps!

Lovely work!
Paul Boizot
Nice map, easily seen as distorted Greece on the left with north Africa below, mid-East and (landlocked) Black sea in the middle, Persian Gulf lower right...not sure what the big sea top right would be. Maybe this is one of those maps of what things looked like millions of years ago, before more tectonic movement altered the map. :-)
Joan Carroll
